5 most worn MAC lipsticks

It seems to be a trend for me that I get inspired to make blog posts when people ask me random little question. For example, I was getting ready to go out to dinner the other night and my friend and I were getting ready together. She turned to me and asked, "which lipstick should I wear?"

This got me thinking, whenever I'm getting ready I always get a little overwhelmed with all the lipstick options and in the end I always seem to just go back to the same ones I always wear. So, I thought I'd share them with you! Rather than going through my whole collection, I would probably have a heart attack, I decided to just go with the brand I own the most of. MAC. So here are my top 5 most worn lipsticks from MAC!

In no particular order...

1. Creme Cup

This light pink is one of my favourites. It is also one of the first MAC lipsticks I purchased so it will always be special to me. I think what I like most about it is the fact that it is quite light and because I am so pale it's not an overpowering baby pink.

2. Snob

This is a colour I think everyone has. I think that's because anyone can wear it. Whether your tan or as pale as I am it's not too harsh and that's what makes it so universal!

3. Angel

I think by now you've guessed I love pink. This lipstick is quite sheer compared to the others and I think thats why it makes my top 5 most worn. I like this mainly because it's sheer but not to the point where I may as well not wear it.

4. Brave

This is much darker than the others and this is probably more of a autumn / winter colour. I thought I should add this because I do wear it quite often in other months and just because I haven't now, in summer, doesn't mean it's not a most worn! The colour just suits anyone, amazing!

5. Gaga 2

This is what I would call a "Bold Nude." It's not really a lipstick you could wear on its own or you would look like you have foundation on your lips. At first this actually scared me a little but now I love it! If you line your lips with pink and blend it out its a lot less concealer looking and actually goes well with anything! You could put on any lip liner as long as you blended it out! Unfortunately though this is actually a limited addition and I'm not sure you can get it anymore. Sorry.

As you can tell I really enjoy my pinks and my neutrals. I would also like to add that just because these happen to be my most worn that doesn't make them my favourites. I love bright colours but day to day, because of where I live, it would look quite strange me wearing bright colours! This is a pity because I love brights!

What I love most about MAC lipsticks is the fact that there is such a wide range of colours with such an amazing formula! They stay on and they don't get that "cracked" look after only a few hours.

I would love to hear what your most worn lipsticks are! What brands do you love? Are you like me and stuck with basic colours because of where you live? Tell me in the comments below!

Thank you so much for reading my blog! I love all the support I've been getting, it's so amazing!

Month 1; My Vision Board

I made a post at the beginning of this month called 12 products, 12 months in which I told you the 12 things I would try out over the next 12 months. This started this month. So, last week I made my vision board. Basically a vision board is a board on which you put things you want to bring into fruition. This is really just a fancy way of saying things I want to do or buy.

A vision board can be quite a personal thing so I guess this will really show you a little more about me as a person, you'll get to know the real Georgia. Or the Georgia I want to be.

This is my Vision Board

BEFORE
AFTER

I haven't really set it out in any particular order, I just scattered everything here and there. I also haven't finished either. This is just the beginning and I will add to it as I complete things or change my ideas.
Every picture has its own individual meaning. Be that a band I want to see, a product I want to buy, something I  plan on doing in the future and I even have quotes I want to live by. Nothing is random.

CLOSE UP #1

CLOSE UP #2
As you can probably tell there is a lot going on. You can probably tell that I plan on moving to London to attend the London School of Beauty and Makeup. This is my ultimate goal. I could totally bore you and explain each individual image but I won't. London is the dream and that's the main focus of my board.

If you have any questions at all just ask me in the comments below, I always read and reply to them all! Also, tell me if you have a vision board or what your thoughts are on them.

Thank you so much again for reading my blog! I promise my next post will be beauty related!

Lush Bubblegum Lipscrub; Review

I thought I would rave to you about a few of my favourite things. Basically, I thought maybe I could start a little segment to my blog. I tend to ramble to my friends and family about products I love so I thought why not do that on my blog?! You may hate this or you may love it, only time will tell. So, the first in my Georgia Raves segment is me raving about Lush's Bubblegum Lip Scrub!

This scrub is my favourite of any I have tried. Granted, I haven't tried many but that is because I stumbled across this one! After that I have never looked back.

This is a handmade product and can be purchased at Lush, either in store or online. The glass jar and plastic lid make it easy to use on the go. No matter how many times you drop it it just won't break! Trust me, I'm quite clumsy so you'll probably learn fast that I love sturdy packaging.

The consistancy of the product itself is basically sugar. That is really the only way I can describe it to you, sugary. It really does wonders for your lips and it also tastes AMAZING! I honestly think that if a product tastes good I will like so much more, and let me tell you I could eat this entire jar ( as you can probably see ). But, as always, everyone has different opinions on taste. My Mum for example likes the scrub but not the taste. These are however other flavours you could look at if Bubblegum just isn't your thing. There will be something for everyone!

As always I have listed the prices for the countries with the highest amount of people who read my blog.

AUSTRALIA: $9.95
UK£5.25

USA: $9.95

Thank you so much for reading my blog! Tell me what you think of my "Georgia Raves" idea. Should I keep it or am I embarrassing myself? Also, have you tried this product, do you love it as much as I do? I love when people comment and give me feedback!

Happiness

This isn't like my usual beauty posts and I've wanted to make this post for the past few days. I have actually tried to a few times but I never seem to get the right words out. So, to put it simply, this is me telling you to be happy.

One of my bad qualities is that I can always see the worst in every situation. Whether that be the worst possible outcome or the worst aspect of anything. It seems to me though that for every bad aspect of something there is almost always a good aspect to counteract this.

I have spoken to numerous people about happiness recently and everyone seems to have a rather negative point of view. The sad truth is a lot of people you think are happy really aren't. I actually had this conversation with my Mum a few days ago and that is what inspired me to make this post. She asked me, what I thought was, a simple question. A question which I didn't have an exact answer to. "Are you happy?"

My theory is people just don't know what they want to do with their life or obstacles get in the way of what they really want or they just don't have the courage to pursue their dreams. Maybe in some ways happiness and courage are linked. You have to  have the courage to be happy.

I know I had to learn this the hard way. For a long time I was expecting to one day just wake up and boom! I was the happiest I'd ever been. Unfortunately though, that's not how life works. Everyone has the ability to be happy it's just harder for some people. It's hard to be happy sometimes when there are so many things giving you reasons to be sad.. Have the courage to choose happiness.

This is all my opinion, and obviously I may be totally wrong, but I have wanted to make this post for a while now but I've been too scared. Scared of the reaction and scared of what people will think but in the end I have to worry less, just like I said in my RIP 2012 post, and I'm trying to stick to this. I don't think being brave means not being scared of anything, I think being brave means doing the things that scare you anyway. Pursuing happiness.

Really, this isn't just about happiness but a reminder to do what you want to do. Don't worry about what other people think as long as you are happy. You are infinite, don't waste your life on others expectations.

I guess you have to try and realize if you aren't happy with an aspect of your life you have the ability to change it! You're worth it and your happiness is worth it. Have a happy life. Don't just exist, live!

Mum, if you're reading this, to answer your question. Am I happy?
I can be, I'm working on it.

Thank you so much for reading my blog!
I hope you liked this post and maybe even agreed with me on a few things!
Tell me in the comments what you think happiness is and how it's achieved.
I may have to make a follow up post in the future!

Maybelline New York eyestudio; gel eyeliner review

I recently bought a high end brand's eyeliner and it was absolute rubbish! I won't name the brand because I don't want to give negative reviews, but I feel like this just proves you don't need to spend a large amount to get good result. I seem to be constantly trying new eyeliners but I do have a few favourites. Maybelline New York's gel eyeliner being one of them.

Obviously with the glass jar and plastic lid it is quite durable! This means you can literally throw it into your bag if you're in a hurry - which I've actually done a number of times

When I first got this eyeliner I only got Blackest Black. After I tried it I fell in love and went on and got Brown. Although I personally don't use Brown that frequently if I do decide to use brown eyeliner this is the one I use.

I have also swatched both for you using different thicknesses.

For all the swatches I used the brush that comes with the set.

I also think that, considering they came free with the product, the brushes are quite decent. You can purchase better brushes in stores but I think you could hold off and use these.

I, again, looked up the prices for the top 3 places that I have readers.

UK: £4.99
AUSTRALIA:
$14.99

USA:
$9.99

Overall this gel liner is comparable to that of a high end product. It apply's easily, doesn't dry out and is smooth.  It also last for hours, no smudging. The brush was also a lovely surprise! I had low expectations but I gave it a go and I was happily proven wrong with its quality. So, if you are interested in trying gel liner for the first time or even adding to your collection I would highly reccommend the Maybelline New York gel liner!

Thank you so much for reading my blog! Tell me below if there is anything you want reviewed or just something you want me to talk about, I'll see what I can do!

12 products, 12 months

I had this idea earlier, I'm not sure how it will work out but I'm going to try it anyway! I want to make a list of 12 products I've always wanted to try but never actually got around to it, then over the next 12 months I will buy 1 product a month. The idea is that I will do a review at the end of the month of that product and also cross it off my list!

I should probably warn you now that some of these products may be a little pricey.. Sorry.

In no particular order... Here goes nothing!

ONE
Revlon Lip Butter

I have wanted to try this as soon as I saw it in store! Then along came the reviews on both YouTube and Blogspot and I was sold. I need to try this. I just haven't yet.

TWO
E.L.F brow kit

I haven't heard much about this product but E.L.F has recently started up an Australian website so now it is inexpensive and readily available! I also feel like it would be a good review to do as not many people have done one.. In fact I've not seen one.

THREE
NARS laguna bronzer

This one is quite obvious. Everyone and their grandmother raves about this product! So, obviously, I'll be super original and be jumping on that bandwagon!

FOUR
Benefit Mascara, they're real

I've heard both good and bad things about Benefit's mascara so naturally I want to try it for myself.

FIVE
Maybelline Colour Tattoo

From what I've heard this product is basically a more affordable MAC paintpot. As I am a fan of the Paintpot I have been wanting to try this!

SIX
Bobbi Brown gel liner

I use gel liner a lot so I like to try new ones but I am yet to try this one. I have heard such good reviews but I could never justify the price. It's things like this I think you need to just pay for and not turn back!

SEVEN
MAC powder blush

I don't have a specific colour I feel like I need to have. I think I will just go to MAC and ask their opinion.  I genuinely just want to try their blush.

EIGHT
Crest 3d whitening strips

I was considering getting my teeth professionally whitened but I decided to try and do it myself. A real gamble I know but oh well. Whitening strips!

NINE
Body Shop makeup brushes

I recently tried one of my friends kabuki brush from the Body Shop and fell in love! That's all really, I just want to try more of their brushes.

TEN
A vision board

I know this isn't exactly beauty related but I thought I should add this in to encourage myself. I have had a blank canvas on my wall for about 2 weeks now ready to be made into a vision board but I got lazy. Whoops.

ELEVEN
Rimmel stay glossy

As I wear lipgloss almost everyday I always seem to find myself adding to my collection. I have wanted to try this for a while but for some reason I just haven't.

TWELVE
Burt's Bees cuticle creme

I am obsessed with my nails now I'm out of school. Because I went to a private school we weren't allowed any nailpolish at all so now I've graduated I paint my nails much more! This also means I use more polish remover. Not good.

So, I hope you like this idea and maybe even decide to do your own! If you do let me know so I can see what products you chose! Also, if you have tried any of these products let me know what you thought, are they worth me trying at all?

Again, thank you for reading my silly little blog!
