Month 3 - Maybelline Color Tattoo

Hello Everyone!

It's month 3 and I finally purchased Maybelline's Color Tattoo - I could not be more excited to tell you about it!

I decided on Bold Gold as there wasn't much of a selection to choose from and I actually really love gold at the moment, it was a bit of a win-win situation.

My camera decided to not focus on the lid at all - ever. I'm sorry

I was a little dissappointed with the packaging. It has a similar style to a MAC paintpot but not as good quality. The lid actually broke while it was still in its original plastic. I was so sad when I opened it up and a piece of the lid fell to the floor.

Obviously though, this didn't affect the product itself. I was so glad the top didn't break also or it would have dried out and I would have cried.

It is a very glittery gold and I find myself having to wash my face a few extra times after wearing it just to make sure my face is glitter free.

As I used my finger it applied quite thick and looks rather scary at first...

but it blends out so well none of that even matters!

Overall my only complaints are the lid and if not used frequently it seems to be a little on the dry side. Then again that may be due to my broken lid. I have no real issues with it and it is a beautiful product that can be used for a dramatic look or a simple everyday look. Well done Maybelline!

Prices for my top 3 countries
UK: £4.99
USA: $5.95
AUSTRALIA: $11.95

Thank you so much for reading my blog! What do you think of Maybelline's Color Tattoo?
Worth the hype or overrated?

Products I've used up!

Hello Everyone!

As you can probably tell from the title these are the products I've recently used up! Obviously not all the products I've ever finished ever but I would like to tell you that it takes me quite a while to finish anything. I am a repeat offender of repurchasing before I'm properly done with a products, whoops!

Basically these are the product's I've recently finished and I would like to share with you my triumph!

FACE PRODUCTS:

1. MAC mineralize skin finish natural, x 2
This is a product I will always love. I have always got at least one of these in my makeup collection and I will probably use these until the day I die.

2. Rimmel
I won't lie this came in a gift set and I don't really use it on myself all too often.. I won't be repurchasing this. I think the only reason this was even finished is because I can use it on people who have dry skin as it is very light.

3. MAC prep and prime, x 2
I love primers! This primer works wonders on almost any skin type. I do already have another one of these but I am looking for a new primer, I am a little bored with this one..

4. MAC Studio fix fluid
Again, I love this foundation to death but at the moment it seems to be a little too drying.. I have repurchased this already but I think I'll be investing in a different foundation very, very soon. - I love trying new foundations

5. Maybelline Mineral power Finishing Veil
Again, this was a gift and I don't think I'll be buying this again. I only really used this powder when I wasn't going anywhere too important and I didn't want to waste my makeup.

6. Maybelline mineral power Natural perfecting concealer
This concealer is very good if you're on the go. I probably won't be repurchasing but it was not the worst concealer I've used.

EYE PRODUCTS:

1. Rimmel London sexy curves
This was featured in my Mascaras of the moment post so I obviously love it. You can go and look at that post if you want a full review - Here!

2. Maybelline New York falsies
This was the second mascara in my mascaras of the moment, I love love love this mascara!

3. Maybelline lash Stiletto
This is a good mascara if you are looking for length, it makes you look like you have crazy long lashes!

4. Maybelline Line Define liquid eyeliner
I can't say I loved this product but I can say it's not good for a thin line.

LIP PRODUCTS:

1. BYS lip liner
This I picked up when I was out and I hadn't put any lipstick on but I was asked to dinner. I needed some colour and this was only $3..

2. Nivea Repair and Protect
I also have a post on this lip balm which you can check out here!

3. Dermal therapy lip balm
This lip balm is great when you have super chapped lips. Funnily enough my doctor actually suggested I get some when I was sick and it was amazing!

MISCELLANEOUS PRODUCTS:

1. Lee Stafford Dry Shampoo
I don't like the smell of this dry shampoo but I was all out of my favourite one so I used this up.. I won't be getting this again, no matter how good the sale is.

2. Cutex nail polish remover
Not much to say about this, it removed my nail polish as it was supposed too so... It was good?

3. Dove Summer Glow
I am a very very pale person. I blame my parents. This gradual tanner is amazing though! I couldn't go a summer without it. I don't like the fake tan look most girls my age go for but this looks more natural.

4. Nivea Gentle Facial Cleansing Wipes
I got this when I was out and in need of some makeup wipes. They went fast because I needed to use 2-3 just to get all my makeup off.. Not too good.

Overall I'm super glad I got rid of some of the products I wasn't too fond of and I made room for products I do genuinely adore! I will have to try and stop myself from purchasing not so great products just because they are on sale... I will be going for quality of the product and not how much I have to spend. - Lesson learned.

Let me know below if you're like me and usually buy something else before actually finishing products or if you always finish things. I'm really beginning to think it's just me...

What are some products you've used up? Would you repurchase them? Comment below telling me so I have some more products to try out!
Thank you all so much for reading my blog!

Nivea Lip Balm review

Hello Everyone!

As I've been spending a lot of time at home and I've not really gone out much this week I haven't been wearing much makeup. I have however been quite reliant on lip balm!

Obviously I've always used lip balm but as it's summer here in Australia I've been using it a lot more. Mainly because lipstick just never lasts because I'm constantly sipping on water. What I'm struggling to say is I love lip balm and I want to rave about it!

You may have actually tried this lip balm, it is very popular.
 Nivea Repair and Protection!

This is very much a thick lip balm. As soon as you put it on you know it's there. If you do apply a generous amount you can actually build up a decent shine which is always nice.

I like this lip balm because I can be rather forgetful. By that I mean I won't remember to reapply lip balm until my lips are chapped and it's never fun. So, with this it will stay on for a decent amount of time which allows for my forgetful brain to register that I need to reapply!
The packaging is also very nice. Just pull, twist and apply! I know that all lip products are usually like this but the size of the lid makes it harder to lose. I have actually lost a lot of lids in my time.. This is a nice change!

I would also like to mention a second lip balm I would highly recommend!
Baby Lips!

I actually have all of the baby lips range but these 2 are by far my favourite for summer! Protecting Berry and Soothing Cherry. These are much glossier and are flavoured, which you can probably tell by the names. I just love these as well!

Prices!

USA: $2.49

I'm sorry this post was a little boring but I have honestly just been obsessed with lip balm lately! Tell me in the comments below your favourite lip balms! Thank you so much for reading my silly little blog!

My Mascaras of the Moment

In my opinion mascara is very important! I guess this may apply to me more so than a lot of other girls as I am blonde and I have blonde eyelashes.. This means I tend to use a lot of different mascaras! I usually have a few favourites but these always change so I am now presenting you with my Mascaras of the Moment!

I have 2 mascaras I have been using for a few months, this is a big deal for me because I usually would have swapped and purchased new ones by now. Although they may be considered "old" in the beauty world I still adore them and use them almost everyday!

I should probably mention I layer my mascara. I like that full look you can only get by putting a ridiculous amount on! As or right now I am using Rimmel's Sexy Curves and Maybellines Falsies!

First things first! Here is my eye with no mascara! - I do however have eyeliner and shadow!

Rimmel Sexy Curves

This is the mascara I put on first. It makes my eyelashes super long but not as full as I would like.

The wand at first is a little intimidating.. Maybe weird would be a better word actually. As in the name, it has curves. I have never seen a mascara want like this before but it grew on me.

I find that because the wand is made of rubber compared to the usual "brush" material is extends the lashes rather than giving them much body.

Maybellines Falsies

Okay, I'm sorry for lacking originality. You've probably heard it all before.. This is the mascara I put on after the Sexy Curves!

What I love about this mascara is the wand. It is slightly curved so it's easy to just brush it over your lashes and done!

This mascara makes my lashes look just amazing! Although it can be easy at times to overdo the "falsies affect."  It's just an easy product to apply and a all around great mascara!

AND FINALLY! This is what my eyes look like with both mascaras on!

As always, prices for my top 3 countries of readers!

UK:
Rimmel - £8.19
Maybelline - £7.99
AUSTRALIA:

Rimmel - $17.95
Maybelline - $19.95
USA:
Rimmel - $6.47
Maybelline - $5.94

Now I've shared my Mascaras of the Moment with you maybe you could tell me yours? Let me know in the comments below what mascaras you like and I'll give them a try! (If I haven't already)
I love talking to you all and it just makes my day! :)

Maybelline New York eyestudio; gel eyeliner review

I recently bought a high end brand's eyeliner and it was absolute rubbish! I won't name the brand because I don't want to give negative reviews, but I feel like this just proves you don't need to spend a large amount to get good result. I seem to be constantly trying new eyeliners but I do have a few favourites. Maybelline New York's gel eyeliner being one of them.

Obviously with the glass jar and plastic lid it is quite durable! This means you can literally throw it into your bag if you're in a hurry - which I've actually done a number of times

When I first got this eyeliner I only got Blackest Black. After I tried it I fell in love and went on and got Brown. Although I personally don't use Brown that frequently if I do decide to use brown eyeliner this is the one I use.

I have also swatched both for you using different thicknesses.

For all the swatches I used the brush that comes with the set.

I also think that, considering they came free with the product, the brushes are quite decent. You can purchase better brushes in stores but I think you could hold off and use these.

I, again, looked up the prices for the top 3 places that I have readers.

UK: £4.99
AUSTRALIA:
$14.99

USA:
$9.99

Overall this gel liner is comparable to that of a high end product. It apply's easily, doesn't dry out and is smooth.  It also last for hours, no smudging. The brush was also a lovely surprise! I had low expectations but I gave it a go and I was happily proven wrong with its quality. So, if you are interested in trying gel liner for the first time or even adding to your collection I would highly reccommend the Maybelline New York gel liner!

Thank you so much for reading my blog! Tell me below if there is anything you want reviewed or just something you want me to talk about, I'll see what I can do!
