Month 6; Rimmel stay glossy lipgloss

Hello Everyone!

We are half way through my 12 products; 12 months and I'm having so much fun! This month I couldn't decide which product to choose but I ended up choosing Rimmel's stay glossy lipgloss.

I was so excited to try this lipgloss and it didn't disappoint. I adore it!

The colour I chose is "all day seduction"

I quite like the packaging, it's simple but still rather pretty. Not to mention impossible to damage.

I've never used an applicator this shape before and I'm loving it, it's a little more flat than usual which means it's a lot easier to apply to the lips.

I usually find with lipgloss that it is rather sticky and seems to just vanish quite quickly, this wasn't the case. It was true to colour, tasted surprisingly good and wasn't sticky at all!

It is also very inexpensive.
I've included the 3 countries I have the most readers.

AUSTRALIA: $16
UK: £6.29
USA: $4

I am definitely going to be buying many more of these in the near future. Have you tried this lipgloss, what are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments below!

Month 5; ELF Eyebrow Kit

Hello Everyone!

It's month 5 of my 12 products, 12 months!
I know I'm a little late with this post but being in Australia means shipping often takes much longer. However, I recently received my ELF eyebrow kit in the mail and I was so excited!

I find it super hard to find a brow colour that is light enough for my colouring - I'm extremely blonde and pale - so I ordered the lightest colour they had. Ash.

The packaging is quite basic which I rather like. Open it up and all you see is the product, the brush and a small mirror. It's ideal if you're on the go!

Although it is very light it is still too dark for my face so I was so sad. Other than that I couldn't find anything wrong with this product! It applied easily, even with just the brush provided, and lasts for quite a while.

I was quite impressed as I only spent $13. If you're looking for a reasonably priced brow kit this may be the one for you. Unfortunately it's just too dark for me. Well done ELF, I'll be back (just maybe not for my brows)!
If you know any good brow kits for blonde hair I would really appreciate it.

John Green Obsessed

Hello Everyone!

If you don't know me personally, which many of you don't, you won't know that I was the biggest book worm at school. Maybe not high school so much but definitely in primary. I thought I would try my best to rekindle my love of books and also put out a new post for you!

I thought rather than always talking about beauty I could branch out a little and get you all involved. Over the past month I have found myself buying an awful lot of books but I sadly have only finished one. I can't help but think that little Georgia would be so disappointed in my pitiful efforts.

Nonetheless this is more or less just aimless chatter about things I've been enjoying over the past week. This Tuesday I've chosen John Green. I blame Tumblr but really John Green deserves every bit of attention he is getting.

I've just finished Looking For Alaska and I'm about to start The Fault in Our Stars right after this is posted! I can tell you I was wary when I purchased these as they are super popular but trust me when I say they are 100% worth it. I don't want to go into too much detail about the book because I would hate to ruin it for you but I can say that John Green has a way of making you feel exactly how he wants you to feel. I could keep going but I'll stop myself before this goes from chatter to rant.

So, have you read any of John Greens books? Do you plan to, or which is your favourite?
I would love some suggestions on what you would like to see on my blog.
I have plenty more planned for my little blog so hang tight!

Birthday Haul

Hello Everyone!

It feels like forever since I've made a blog post, maybe that's because I haven't posted since the beginning of the month. Although, I got a new laptop so it looks like I'll be posting more than you can imagine from now on!

My birthday was on May 17th so I've been a busy little bee trying to organise all of my accounts and doing all that boring stuff (no one told me how annoying it is turning 18). I thought I would share with you some of the things I got for my birthday - not all beauty related but I'm sharing them anyway because I'm excited!

1. 15" MacBook Pro

2. Real Techniques makeup brush kit - core collection

3. Rimmel wake me up foundation - 100 ivory

4. Bobbi Brown makeup manual

5. Ricardo Elite luggage - 28" Sausalito superlite

6. Benefit Bronzer - Hula

I kept this rather brief as I am doing reviews on most of the products so I'll go into much more depth.
I did get a few little things also but I think thought I'd keep it short and sweet and only add the larger items and beauty products.
I could probably bombard you with millions of selfies taken on photobooth but I will save that for another day. Let me know in the comments below if you have any of these items, I love talking to you all!

Month 4; Burt's Bees lemon butter cuticle cream

Hello Everyone!

This being the third month of my 12 products 12 months of reviews, I've done this one earlier rather than later as I haven't made a blog post in over 2 weeks. I've not been busy or anything interesting, to be honest I just haven't had anything worth talking about up until now..

I purchased Burt's Bees lemon butter cuticle cream last month and I use a lot more than I thought I would!

The packaging is quite basic, a metal tin and a lid you just pull on and off.

It has the strongest lemon smell out of any product I've ever used. It's quite fresh.

I like to use this when I have no nail polish on, on and around my nails. Then also once I have nail polish on just around my cuticles. It's very moisturizing and not oily at all (that was a concern of mine). I would recommend this to anyone, especially if you have hands that tend to be dry. I also like the fact that it is cruelty free and 100% natural. I'm not usually the type of person who looks for 100% natural ingredients but it's nice to see that every now and again.

I've been a huge Burt's Bees fan ever since I purchased their lip balm. I was super excited about this purchase and it didn't disappoint! If you're thinking about getting the cuticle cream I say go for it, a little bit goes a long way and you get a lot of product for a reasonable price!

AUS: $14.95
UK: £5.99
USA: $6

There isn't much else to say really. I can feel a difference in nails after only a month and I'm so pleased! If you have any opinions on this product let me know in the comments below.
Thank you so much for reading my blog!

Month 3 - Maybelline Color Tattoo

Hello Everyone!

It's month 3 and I finally purchased Maybelline's Color Tattoo - I could not be more excited to tell you about it!

I decided on Bold Gold as there wasn't much of a selection to choose from and I actually really love gold at the moment, it was a bit of a win-win situation.

My camera decided to not focus on the lid at all - ever. I'm sorry

I was a little dissappointed with the packaging. It has a similar style to a MAC paintpot but not as good quality. The lid actually broke while it was still in its original plastic. I was so sad when I opened it up and a piece of the lid fell to the floor.

Obviously though, this didn't affect the product itself. I was so glad the top didn't break also or it would have dried out and I would have cried.

It is a very glittery gold and I find myself having to wash my face a few extra times after wearing it just to make sure my face is glitter free.

As I used my finger it applied quite thick and looks rather scary at first...

but it blends out so well none of that even matters!

Overall my only complaints are the lid and if not used frequently it seems to be a little on the dry side. Then again that may be due to my broken lid. I have no real issues with it and it is a beautiful product that can be used for a dramatic look or a simple everyday look. Well done Maybelline!

Prices for my top 3 countries
UK: £4.99
USA: $5.95
AUSTRALIA: $11.95

Thank you so much for reading my blog! What do you think of Maybelline's Color Tattoo?
Worth the hype or overrated?
